With a business administration degree specializing in Marketing from Vanier CEGEP in Montreal and a B.A in English and Mass Communications from York University and years of experience working with small business owners in the advertising field Keltie Anderson introduced The Shoppes Newsletters to the Uxbridge community 10 years ago. Her experience working as an Advertising Executive for a community based newspaper chain, creating promotional campaigns for small business owners as a communications specialist, and publishing a series of coupon booklets and York Region based community newsmagazine from 1989-1997 gave her the tools to launch The Shoppes Newsletters in May 1997.
Today she is the Business Development Manager for the Uxbridge, Stouffville, Aurora and Whitby newsletters, Publisher, and the Franchise Development Officer for The Shoppes Newsletters Inc. Keltie is in charge of coaching, managing and motivating the corporate sales team, the freelance writers and The Shoppes editor. She is responsible for creating processes and systems for The Shoppes Newsletters Inc. She oversees the daily operations of newsletters, published monthly in ten small towns across Ontario . She is in charge of selling and expanding The Shoppes Newsletters franchise system, franchisee training and coaching. "I believe that our system is successful because we enjoy helping small business owners showcase their talents in a unique article format that connects them with their best customers," Keltie says, "Our franchisees also enjoy working within their own communities to help their business neighbours increase sales and promote themselves more efficiently."
